Financial Accountant

The company This leading wealth management firm based at the top end of Collins Street is seeking an experienced financial accountant to join their growing finance team.
With 4 different entities, one being a recent acquisition, this role is best suited to a dynamic, highly motivated individual with a strong technical background.
The role Reporting to the CFO, your key responsibilities in this role will include: Prepare and review timely and accurate monthly financial statements Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and preparation of month end journals Prepare and analyse monthly reports including budget variance with commentary Prepare cash flow forecast Assist with the preparation of board papers Review the work of the finance Team Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll Assist with the preparation of annual budgets Preparation of monthly commission reports Preparation of yearly audit pack Review and finalise FBT returns for external accountants Review and lodge BAS returns, payroll tax returns and workers compensation payments Skills & Experience CPA/CA qualifications Proven experience in a Financial Accounting role Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention detail, ability to multitask and be methodical Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Xero experience highly desirable Advanced working knowledge of Excel Benefits Commitment to professional growth and development Formal structured learning opportunities Hybrid working arrangements 3/2 Corporate newly refurbished offices at the top end of Collins Street Social Club Casual Fridays EOFY and Christmas functions This is an exciting time to join this business as they undergo significant change.
