Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their firm based in the CBD. This newly created role will report directly to the Head of Finance , offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team.





What you'll do:

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks from month-end close activities to preparing journal entries and handling BAS returns.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage international transactions and accounts effectively.
Handle advanced VAT and international tax matters.
EARP systems to streamline financial processes.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant role is CA/CPA qualified with prior experience in a Financial Reporting position. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike.

You embrace a proactive mindset and utilise technology to enhance collaboration and achieve better outcomes
Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
You may have a qualification in Data Science and eager to explore this further
You posses practical and hands-on experience in the field of data science
