ABOUT THE ROLE As a Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the senior management and provide advice or recommendations on issues related to revenue, investment, and expenses. You will also assist the operations in banking, auditing and reporting.
You will be located at our Kalgoorlie Town Office, working alongside the Financial Accounting team.
Maintain and update financial and accounting models for improved data collection and reporting efficiency. Consolidate Group accounts in Pronto, including consolidation and elimination journal entries. Prepare Daily & Weekly Cash Report, Monthly bank reconciliations for all Group bank accounts. Oversee budget and forecast activities, including continuous management and support. Manage taxation activities, ensuring compliance with laws and financial regulations, and handle Group BAS and Payroll Tax responsibilities, including regulatory audits. WHAT YOU WILL NEED A minimum of 4 years' experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice (mining experience highly regarded). Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). A bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Practical experience in the use of MS products, particularly Excel and large ERP systems. BENEFITS Permanent full-time role with immediate start.
