TasRecycle Limited is an exciting new not-for-profit business tasked with the oversight and administration of Tasmania's Container Refund Scheme ("Recycle Rewards"), which is scheduled to launch in May 2025. At TasRecycle our mission is to champion producer responsibility and circular economy outcomes by delivering a customer-focused, efficient and high integrity container refund scheme for Tasmania.
As the appointed Scheme Coordinator for Recycle Rewards, we work with government and partners to oversee the building of a container recycling network which will play a key role in transforming Tasmania's waste and recycling system. Through a 10c refund for every approved container returned we will encourage Tasmanians to collect and recycle their beverage containers, making a positive difference to our people, environment and local industry.
