Financial Accountant Join our Accounting Operations Team in Hobart and make a difference!
As a Financial Accountant, your role will involve gathering and monitoring financial data to provide accurate, timely, and valuable information for effective decision-making and problem-solving.
Your insights will help enhance business performance.
Additionally, you will ensure compliance with accounting standards and continuously improve our financial processes.
In this role, you will be expected to work effectively with all stakeholders, demonstrating resilience, a positive outlook, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

What does the Financial Accountant role look like?
Ownership of monthly general ledger reconciliations.
Entity consolidation and monthly reporting.
Preparing and posting journals.
Maintain the lease register.
Preparation of BAS returns.
Managing the Corporate Credit Card system.
Compilation of required financial reports.
Support with the annual audit process.
Maintain our expenditure approval policy.
Manage the company's motor vehicle fleet.
Annual Fringe Benefit tax return.
Ad hoc projects as required.
What we're looking for: Exceptional financial acumen including a CA/CPA qualification and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
Highly effective skills with Microsoft 365 programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Powerpoint and PowerBI).
Strong collaborator with adaptable, clear, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for accuracy, resulting in high-quality work outcomes.
Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
