We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join the Finance team in our Hobart CBD office! The perfect opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong financial acumen.
The opportunity The Financial Accountant is responsible for providing comprehensive financial and management accounting support while ensuring compliance across the organisation. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of Huon's Financial Management Information Systems.
Your tasks include:
Leveraging your specialised technical expertise to enhance our financial processes.Collaborating closely with key stakeholders within Huon to identify opportunities for cost reduction and drive operational efficiencies through insightful recommendations and initiatives.Preparing accurate month-end and quarterly financial reports, along with general ledger reconciliations, and overseeing the preparation of month-end journals.Contributing significantly to the annual financial audit, ensuring robust controls are in place and adhered to.Conducting month-end stocktakes in partnership with the operations team, ensuring accurate inventory counts and that any necessary stock adjustments are reflected across all systems.About you You will have:
