About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role suits someone who is highly collaborative and is effective in supporting financial control and providing technical advice and guidance across the business. You should be able to present yourself well and be comfortable in effectively communicating with all levels of the organisation and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Partner with the business to support financial control
Advise on accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Month end accounting, work papers, reconciliations and daily bank journals
Fixed asset management
Prepare annual statutory accounts, audit and quarterly reviews
Process employee expense claims and accounts payable workflow
Monthly General & Administration (G&A) expenditure analysis and budget preparation
Review internal control systems and processes and continuously improve
Assist with tax compliance and company projects
Back office processing and support for the trading/settlement function
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Undertaking or have completed a CA, CFA, or CPA qualifications
Strong attention to detail & accuracy and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Strong competency in Microsoft products and ERP systems
Must have unlimited working rights in Australia
