Plotlogic is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, enthusiastic and very hands-on Financial Accountant to join our small accounting team. The role of Financial Accountant is to support the Financial Controller through managing the day-to-day accounting functions. This role is based in our Brisbane Northside office.

This role will be responsible for:
• Managing the accounts receivable functions for all group entities.
• Performing various monthly reconciliations including accrual journals, lease journals, depreciation schedules, prepayments.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
• Reviewing and finalising monthly accounts for sign off.
• Assisting with inventory management and stock take.
• Assessing company cash flow to generate reports of financial position.
• Liaising with clients and suppliers – setting up credit accounts and managing payment terms, managing monthly invoicing.
• Assisting in the audit compliance, audit information requests and internal control responsibilities.
• Ad hoc duties to support the finance team and other teams, including responding to financial inquiries.
• Assisting the financial controller with board reporting.
• Liaising with external auditors, and tax specialists.
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory financial obligations and relevant financial legislation.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
• Bachelor of Accounting or related fields.
• Professional Accounting qualification (CA or CPA) - completed or working towards completion (advantageous but not essential)
• Proven experience in similar roles (at least 3-4 years).
• Familiar with accounting software such as Xero.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
