They are seeking to appoint a 2IC to their Chief Financial Officer in a newly created position.The RoleAs Pentacon continues to grow their revenues, they are seeking to appoint a talented Financial Accountant to report directly to the CFO. The business is experiencing rapid growth and as they scale, they don't want to surpass their current operational capacity. As such, they are investing in people, infrastructure, and software to support the ambitious and achievable growth strategy. This may include stronger financial controls and more advanced financial systems to support this expansion. By addressing these needs, Pentacon is positioning itself for continued success as it reaches its goals. As the Financial Accountant, your duties may include, but are not limited to:Preparation of all month-end journals for the business and associated entitiesSupport the CFO with the preparation of monthly management reporting packs for the businessPreparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including inter-company loan accounts)Weekly cash flow forecastingMaintenance of the Fixed Asset RegisterPreparation and lodgment of statutory compliance reporting for all entities including BASAssisting the CFO with preparation of budgets and forecastsPreparation of taxation schedules for annual FBT and Income Tax returnsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyAbout YouThe ideal candidate for the Financial Accounting role at Pentacon will be either a first mover from public practice in business services, CFO Advisory, or audit. Those with strong commercial experience are also encouraged to apply. You will have a solid grounding in accounting principles, with experience in financial reporting, compliance, and managing internal controls. A background in public practice will provide the technical rigor needed to implement robust financial systems, while commercial experience will equip you to navigate the complexities of a fast-growing business.
