The Opportunity
We have a permanent opportunity available for a Financial Accountant to join our high performing Financial Accounting team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be a key member of the team, driving financial service delivery and taking responsibility for a range of outputs including:
Assist with month-end close in line with monthly timetable;
Preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations including supporting schedules, particularly focussed on fixed assets, payroll and leave provisions.
Assistance with preparation of financial statements.
Various ad hoc projects as required.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Degree qualified in Accounting/Finance.
CA/CPA or working towards (mandatory).
Approximately 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable communicating across all levels in the organisation.
A continuous improvement mindset, with demonstrated prior success in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
