The role Supporting the Finance Manager and CFO, this is a superb role that will keep you on your toes, utilise your multitasking skills, and heavily rely on your transactional payroll and financial accounting experience.
Working with the established finance team of six, in various aspects of accounts receivable, payable and payroll, you will assist the Finance Manager in preparation of month end management reporting, preparation of quarterly financial reports to the Commonwealth Government, along with annual audited and statutory reporting where you will feel challenged yet be able to add immediate value.
Duties will include: Champion AR, monthly billings, issuing statements for all resident accounts.
Entering cash receipts.
Debt collection.
Manage residents' queries regarding statements/fee information.
Safeguard and maintain Medicare and Services Australia fees and payments.
Monthly preparation of debtor report.
Entering journals for the AR entries.
Payroll Processing fortnightly for 800+ employees.
Responding to management or employees' queries.
Reconciliation and payroll journals.
Month End Duties.
Prepare monthly P/L reports actioning variance between actual and budget.
Assist Balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain chart of accounts.
Manage monthly accrual and prepayment schedules and their reconciliations.
Monthly intercompany interest calculation for the fund.
Asset management: The company will allow growth, and your inquisitive mind to make recommendations, and be heard.
The Essentials CPA qualified.
Two plus years' experience as an accountant in residential aged care in Australia.
Working in a volume driven timeline orientated environment.
Excellent organisation and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
A person with a can-do attitude, who can own the role and who thrives on variety.
