Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,300 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130+ countries and 11 Global warehouses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia.We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.JOB SUMMARY:This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant with responsibility for a dynamic, fast-paced division within an experienced Finance Team.OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Management Reporting and AnalysisResponsible for completion of the monthly management accounts for their division, including financial metrics, with detailed analysis and insights to material deviations for the divisionResponsive to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarising and providing relevant commentary on the financial information availableResponsible for ensuring balance sheet for the division is reconciled monthly including preparation of supporting schedules.Oversight of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable function for the divisionReview of monthly and annual GST, PAYE, FBT and Income Tax returnsTreasury and working capital model preparation.Financial ReportingResponsible for the delivery of the annual statutory financial statements, audits and tax returns of the division working with local auditors, tax specialists and accountants.Support the financial reporting of a complex division, including several branches with foreign currencies, by contributing to the technical accounting treatment of new scenarios as the division expands.Business SupportDevelop and upgrade reporting structures and tools embracing digital technology and automationDocumentation and improvement of finance department SOP's including identification of strategic risksREQUIREMENTS:Qualified accountant with a minimum of 1 year of relevant PQEExcellent IT skills and communication skillsExcellent organisational skillsMotivated, flexible individual who can work closely with other team members and build relationships across functionsMaintain motivation to complete tasks with attention to detail, within the constraints of a busy departmentSelf-starter with ability to set objectives and work efficiently to deliver on timelinesTax experience an advantageCOMPANY AWARDSGreat Place To Work 2023Best Medium Sized Workplaces 2022Ibec Leading in Wellbeing Top 100 companies 2021Portwest CEO - Business Man Of The Year - In Business Ireland 2020Deloitte Best Managed Companies 2016-2023Private Irish Business of the Year Export Industry Awards 2019Exporter of the Year 2018Portwest CEO - EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2017Portwest do not support visa sponsorship for this role.
