The Opportunity With a growing diverse portfolio of quality animal products, Dechra Veterinary Products is seeking an experienced and passionate Financial Accountant to join our team.
This role will primarily be responsible for providing financial support to the Australia and NZ businesses, in all areas of financial and account management.
This is a full-time position, based in Somersby with a hybrid working structure.
The Challenge So, what will you be doing?
This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate's key responsibilities will include:
Assist in controlling and posting General Ledger transactionsComplete key operational finance activities i.e.
monthly closing activities and reconciliations (GIT / intercompany, GRNI, prepayments, bank)Support with the finance requirements in relation to payroll and inputs into the ATO (Australia) and IRD (New Zealand) portals as requiredLodgement of all relevant tax items with the ATO for Australia and IRD for New ZealandSupport the Finance Controller with company leases, relevant accounting and controlsMonitoring of the fixed asset registers in both countriesAssist with cashflow forecasting and monthly actuals reconciliations and analysis, monitoring and driving working capital metrics (inventory, AR and AP)Support Financial Controller and Head of Finance in liaisons with external auditorsData steward responsibility and ensuring new customers and suppliers complianceNZ Export sales managementReconciliation and posting of company credit card expenditure / expense claimsAd-hoc Finance projects and other duties as requiredAbout You Here at Dechra, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive employer and we embrace candidates from all walks of life.
