My client is a leading organisation within the transport industry, and they are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a contract basis. This contract role will be for an initial 6 month period and offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to key financial projects within a specified time frame. This role will be based in the CBD and will be a hybrid working pattern, 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.Provide financial analysis and reports to management.Support the implementation of financial systems and processes.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits: Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Professional development opportunities.Flexible working hours and remote work options.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and if successful, will be invited to a screening video call.
