About the role The Finance Transformation and Integration Specialist will play an integral role in supporting a new enterprise-wide transformation platform. The role will support AGL's Retail Transformation (RT) program from Finance domain and in collaboration with other Senior Finance Leaders and the RT Product Manager, this role will help deliver a seamless integration with our financial systems and processes for the RT program. The role will also be pivotal in driving improvements in our accounting and financial reporting frameworks across the day-to-day finance operations.
What you'll be doing Transformation and Integration Lead the RT program design and build from Finance domain and ensuring all Finance processes and capabilities are achieved through design and build across the RT program. Act as the Finance Transformation Owner for broader Finance team. This role involves reviewing and comprehending design documents related to finance transformation projects and implementing these designs into practical controls and processes within Finance. Focus on integration and business readiness for S4/Hana system rollout, including consideration around people impacts and change management for end-to-end accounting processes. Develop and execute strategies to streamline and enhance finance operations, ensuring alignment with overall business transformation and integration goals. Collaborate with IT, Customer Markets, Integrated Energy and other business units to ensure successful deployment and integration of transformation platforms. Lead the Integration Framework workstream and work closely with the key Finance Corporate Development, Power Development and Energy Hubs teams to build an integration framework for the Finance team that will shape the enterprise-wide integration framework, strategies and roadmap as part of the organisational energy transition. Pivotal in driving improvements in our accounting and financial reporting frameworks across the day-to-day finance operations. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management Create a positive working relationship between the business and program teams, set the tone for how the business and Program should be seen to work together. Act as a key liaison between the finance team and other departments to foster effective communication and collaboration. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Serve as a mediator in resolving conflicts and facilitating consensus among stakeholders with diverse interests. Continuous Improvement Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations, existing systems and challenge simplification in the design of existing and new finance transformation. Oversee training and support to broader finance teams and end-users to ensure effective use of finance systems upon improvements and changes. Develop and roll out accounting policy and guidance for the AGL Group in conjunction with other finance functions. What you'll bring to the table Extensive project/programme management experience within similar environment. Experience in transformation and change, including leading large operational teams in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated accountability and decision-making skills. Advanced understanding of strategic drivers and relationship to performance and business goals. Ability to interact, influence and challenge at all levels within organisation.
