The OpportunityAre you ready to make a significant impact at the crossroads of finance and technology?
We are seeking a dedicated System Accountant to join our team and support the Finance Centres of Excellence (CoE) in optimizing digital financial systems.
Your role will be crucial in enhancing financial processes, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining robust controls that drive business agility and operational success.
As a System Accountant, you will act as a vital link between the Finance & Actuarial team and our Oracle technical experts.
Your expertise in accounting and financial systems will be essential as you analyze and improve current financial data flows, controls, and processes, including customer payment and receipting functionalities.
You will also be involved in designing and reviewing financial systems and processes to support accurate financial transactions and reporting.
Key responsibilities include analyzing financial systems in response to new accounting standards (IFRS17 and USGAAP), developing user stories for future state requirements, collaborating with project teams and third-party vendors, and performing unit tests and data integration.
We are looking for candidates with life insurance experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines in an agile environment.

This role offers a permanent full-time contract and embraces flexible working arrangements.
You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.

Analysis of current state of nominated financial system/process/accounting with respect to the change of accounting standards from MOS (Margin on Service) to IFRS17 and USGAAPAnalysis of data as it flows from source systems into our Finance System ecosystem in order to prepare our financial statementsDevelopment of future state user stories (requirements) using best practice, under guidance of Sponsor Delegate and Project TeamWork with the Project Team, including our third-party vendors, in understanding how Oracle Fusion and OFSAA capabilities will be used in our Future of Finance stateUnit test and triage financial system and data integration artefacts under guidanceCreate work papers associated with any testing including remediation activitiesWork with Change Management for new standard operating procedures, training, and documentation as requiredQualification and SkillsLife Insurance experience is mandatoryFinance Systems in a major ERPExcellent analytical skills - attention to detail and tenacity.A challenging and enquiring mind.Understanding of common software failures and faults.Experience in a variety of testing efforts.Ability to work to tight deadlines in an agile environmentCritical SkillsAt Resolution Life, we have identified the following critical skills which are key to success in our culture:
