Finance Support OfficerOpportunity to work in the DCS Portfolio Finance team supporting Service NSW Shared Services.Ongoing full-time role located in Sydney CBDClerk Grade 3/4, Salary ($67,176 - $81,920), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loadingAbout usThe Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a great place to work! We are passionate about putting the customer at the centre of everything we do and adopting new technologies to make government work better.About the roleWorking as part of a larger team, the Finance Support Officer provides financial and administrative support services to ensure financial data captured is of the highest quality. You will be adept at balancing a range of conflicting priorities in a high workload and dynamic environment to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to achieve business outcomes.Key tasks will include:Daily consolidation of cash banking reports from service centres for submission to Armaguard portalProvide advice to the Team Leader on matters relating to system balancing and reconciling items that can be resolved by improving procedures, processes and reporting the functionality of systemsProvide support to the Service Delivery Team in areas of cash deposits, accounting for unders and overs in the service centres, process improvements and resolving banking variancesPerform, validate and checking banking documentationEnsuring the integrity of financial information provided to stakeholdersAbout youThe successful applicant is a well-respected professional with proven experience in a similar setting. Adept at working in a high-volume environment, you also possess stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and advise team leaders and stakeholders. Above all, you will be highly organised and thrive on process improvement both within the team and across the department.
