We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and highly skilled individual to support the Senior Finance Officer in maintaining the financial management of NWQICSS and to assist with payroll functions.
A fantastic, positive, and supportive team culture.Training, development and education opportunities.Salary Packaging optionsRole overview Provide ongoing support to the Senior Finance Officer in maintaining effective financial management and ensuring compliance with service agreements and statutory requirements.Provide payroll support to the Senior Finance Officer for NWQICSS.Alert the Senior Finance Officer to any issues related to timesheets.Assist with the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of salaries and wages using Employment Hero.Maintain payroll records, timekeeping data, leave records, and related statistics.Assist in the reconciliation of payroll, accounts payable, and receivable in a timely manner.Ensure timely follow-up on all outstanding finance-related items.Provide detailed listings of outstanding invoices during the month-end process and escalate any issues to the Senior Finance Officer.Foster a collaborative culture through open communication and a supportive approach.Liaise with the Senior Finance Officer to collect and monitor invoices from NWQICSS Centres.Monitor petty cash, follow up on cash issued, collect receipts, and reconcile before submitting to the Senior Finance Officer.Organize service bookings for NWQICSS vehicles and maintain the vehicles registration workbook.Organize travel arrangements as directed by the NWQICSS Finance Department.Maintain records of correspondence as required.Candidates Need: Desirable to have a tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting or relevant qualification;Sound understanding of the role of a Finance Support Officer;Demonstrated experience in MYOB or other accounting software;Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;The ability to develop strong working relationships and manage a team;High levels of personal energy to drive our services and business partnering mindset;Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal;Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to maintain exceptionally high levels of accuracy in the preparation and presentation of data;Possession of current Blue Card;Possession of current and clean open Driver's Licence.Please Contact: Staff Services
