Join a leader in enhancing wellbeing and independence Your new company Our client based in the western suburbs is seeking a permanent Finance Supervisor to join their collaborative team. Your new role As the Finance Supervisor, you will be responsible for making critical financial decisions by collecting and tracking the organisation's finances. Along with financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records. Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance requirements. Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts and defining financial policies and procedures. Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. Maintain a general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries. Balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries. Maintain historical records by filing documents. Create budgets and forecasts and advise on how to improve the business. Assist with annual profit and loss and balance sheet reports. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends. Complies with federal and state legal requirements, enforcing adherence to those requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions. Monitor the taxation responsibilities, including GST and BAS, Income tax and employee-related taxes. You will also oversee Accounts receivable, credit control, accounts payable and payroll functions. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the role you will ideally have: Supervisory experience and the ability to lead a team Understanding of financial management obligations. Experience with accounting computer software Xero and Excel. Ability to assist in financial management and control. Project management skills. Ability to work under pressure. You will have strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent time management skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work autonomously.
