Our Head Office provides the strategic direction and support services for Wintringham's residential, housing and community care services.
Your new role An exciting opportunity exists for a committed and proactive individual to join our expanding Finance Team at our Head Office, North Melbourne. Part Time and Full-Time applications will be considered for this position which will report directly to the Senior Manager, Finance. This role would suit a candidate who has had experience as a Finance Manager and is looking to move into project-based work. The role will involve designing processes based on best practice to increase efficiency and improve user experience and supporting the technical implementation of a new program by providing strategic input and solution-oriented thinking.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the below: Manage and support the continuous improvement of financial accounting processes to enable the delivery of an efficient and streamlined service.Document changes to processes and procedures and work with the Finance team to ensure processes align with system requirements.Assist with implementing changes in government legislation from a financial perspective.Manage the continuous review of finance policies, including updating policies when required.Provide senior technical support to the broader finance team.Oversight and supervision of various team members during project periods.Other ad-hoc analysis and duties as directed by the Senior Manager - Finance.We are looking for candidates with the following: Relevant/appropriate qualification from a recognised institution or university.Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior Accountant role.Experience with team supervision.Technical skills and experience in financial and management accounting.Investigative and problem-solving skills.Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks.Advanced Excel skills utilising other Microsoft Office applications.What's in it for you?
