The Role:Finance Services Officer undertakes administrative, transactional and reconciliation processes for the DoH in accordance with relevant service standards, legislation and Agency policies and procedures.The occupants within these positions may be expected to have primary responsibility for the administration, reconciliation, and processing transactions for:The DoH's centralised Bank AccountsTasmanian Government Corporate CardsDebt recovery to assist the DoH with reducing outstanding debtStaff travel and other allowance claimsDuties:Process and reconcile transactions for the DoH, in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.Investigate, research, and identify discrepancies and apply correct charges, calculations, or codes, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and entered within the computerised financial system.Liaise effectively with clients, staff, and management on a range of finance operational processes, including providing options and solutions on account issues.Process payment files and account information using the Department's banking software.Department of Health - Finance OperationsFinance Operations is based within Finance and Business Support and provides the primary support mechanisms and processing of Agency cash-based transactions.
The area encompasses Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions with services being provided across the Department of Health (DoH).Details of Appointment:Permanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.Salary:

$71,661 - $77,455 per annum.
