Part of the growing Global Financial Reporting (GFR) Team and work closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team in head office (South Bank, Brisbane).
The GFR team are responsible for: Consolidation and board level analysis of FLT's monthly global results, including business partnering to review financial resultsAnnual and half year statutory reportingAd-hoc reporting and other project workSetting and monitoring of FLT accounting policiesProviding technical accounting support to the FLT group globallyReview and assessment of IFRSThe FP&A team are responsible for: The quarterly forecasting process across the Group, preparing analysis and reports for the Global CFO and Board. Maintaining the forecast system and future customisationsFocussing on creating a transparent view of the current and future liquidity position of the FCTG and individual businesses and countriesThis is a unique role to work within the GFR team while spending 20% of your time working with our FP&A team who are closely linked with GFRYou will play an integral role with the following core responsibilities: Half-Year & Year-End Statutory Reporting
Collation and preparation of schedules required by external auditors and responding to queriesAssist in the preparation of FLT Annual Report and half year financial statementsAssist in the preparation of Audit Committee reports and analysisAssist with local statutory financial statements as requiredFP&A
Support the quarterly budget/forecast process across the Group, ensuring data integrity through performing various reconciliationsAssist with maintaining the forecast system, liaising with Super Users across the Group to facilitate training and updatesSupport the Financial Planning & Analysis – Team Lead and Financial Planning & Analysis Senior to work with the local CFO's and finance teams to review forecasts and validate assumptionsSupport in the preparation of trend and comparative analysis to drive business decisionsProjects & Technical Advice
Analyse new and amended Accounting standards, impact on FLT and liaise with external auditorsDevelop and update global FLT accounting policiesPrepare technical accounting papers on key issues/ transactions and provide ad-hoc accounting advice as requiredWork independently and with other team members on technical topics to achieve practical outcomesUse technical knowledge and relationship with the business to be a catalyst for change and deliver commercial insightsBusiness Partnering
Work with businesses to ensure that advice and information can be provided proactively and as requiredMonthly review of information received from specific businesses– analysis and checklists, high-level review for accuracy, reasonableness and business understandingLiaise with GM's and FC's to answer queries on the month-end process or any technical areasGain an understanding of businesses, explain why certain information is required from GFR and discuss how GFR can assist them.Perform deep dives into key accounting processes to ensure global "one best way" is maintainedMonth-End & Board Reporting
Preparation of areas of global board reporting;Relationships
