About Us
Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia's largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.
About the Role
The Commercial Finance function at EA provides business partnering and commercial support to ensure that EnergyAustralia delivers maximum value from our resources. The role of the business partner teams is to drive business performance, through setting annual targets, building financial plans and forecasts and providing insights and support to evaluate key decisions.

As the Finance Partner of our Operations Division (which covers all our power generation assets) you will be responsible for:

Providing financial advice and direction to the Operations executive and Operations leadership teams.
Providing deep insights into drivers of monthly results against budgets, forecasts and expectations (variance analysis) to the business and finance.
Ensuring that Operations financial performance is clearly communicated to, and can be clearly articulated by the Head of Operations and relevant members of the Operations leadership team
Identifying and monitoring key financial and operational metrics to enable timely and pro-active response to identified trends.
Ensuring integrity, compliance and financial control in investments (Business Cases, Projects).
Reviewing and challenging initiatives within Operations to ensure that business decisions are made with a clear understanding of likely financial outcomes.
Providing insight into the underlying drivers of financial performance (value drivers)
Aligning weekly and monthly reporting and analysis of operational business drivers which are linked to financial outcomes
Playing an active role as a member of the Commercial Finance leadership team.
Contributing to setting direction, vision, objectives to set and deliver Commercial finance's agenda at EA.
