With a team of experienced health professionals, including Aboriginal Health Workers, GPs, Nurses, Psychologists, and more, BRAMS is committed to improving health outcomes in our community through collaborative efforts.
How You'll Make a Difference:We are now looking for a full-time Finance Officer based in Broome, WA. This role is accountable for managing financial transactions and systems, reporting to the Finance General Manager, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within the organisation.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating payroll and managing end-to-end payroll processesMaintaining financial systems and databasesManaging rental leases and property maintenanceProcessing staff travel and accommodation claimsEnsuring compliance with financial policies and legislationEngaging in continuous improvement of financial practicesResolving payroll and financial inquiries from staffParticipating in financial audits and month-end tasksWhat You'll Bring to the Team:To qualify, you will require at least 2 years prior experience in a finance & payroll position. Experience in an Aboriginal or remote community will be held in high regard, as will a qualification in finance.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Experience in administration practicesUnderstanding of work health and safety principlesKnowledge of risk managementExcellent planning and organisational skills including time managementStrong verbal and written communication skillsAs our ideal candidate, you will possess strong initiative, sound judgement, and decision-making skills along with a commitment to our values and mission.
