Stella Maris Catholic Primary School Burnie, TAS Stella Maris Catholic Primary School is situated at 24 - 28 Futuna Avenue, Burnie on the North West Coast of Tasmania. The school site overlooks Bass Strait and is approximately 2 km from the city centre and is close to hospitals, TAFE and Marist Regional College. Stella Maris Catholic Primary School is a co-educational Catholic School situated in Burnie, catering for 431 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Finance Officer 38 hrs per week  45 weeks per year (negotiable) Commencing Monday 29 April 2024 This position will assist the Principal with the financial management of the school and be required to demonstrate: Effectiveness in financial and accounting functions (including accounts payable, accounts receivable and end of month procedures) Experience in preparing and analysis of budget and monthly financial reports Ability to follow specified policies, procedures and internal control and audit processes Experience in maintaining personnel records and payroll system for staff Proficiency in the use of computerised processing and commercial finance systems Strong time management and organisational abilities in an office environment Ability to work cooperatively within a wider team environment Commitment to personal and team effectiveness The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating business administration and finance functions, be competent in all facets of general office administration, and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a wider team environment.  Familiarity within an educational environment would be an advantage. Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
