St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Wandal is a co-educational school operated by the Diocese of Rockhampton. St Joseph's commenced moving to a two stream school in 2014 and became fully two stream from Prep – Year 6 in 2020. Our school has a proud tradition of supporting its community for over 100 years. Our school strives to enact the values of the Josephite Sisters and Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop.
Your Role
Our school is seeking a vibrant, efficient, and energetic person for the position of Finance Officer. This is a term-time continuing position for 38hpw (8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday), commencing from January 2025.
The Finance Officer will apply a depth of knowledge and a broad range of skills which facilitate the financial management and administration of the school.
Duties performed include, but are not limited to:

Practising confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the role
Providing administrative support to senior management of the school where discretion and judgement are required, including: initiating and handling correspondence (which may include confidential correspondence); monitoring telephone calls; and establishing and/or maintaining working filing systems
Providing significant assistance in the preparation and analysis of financial information to trial balance; budgets; profit and loss reports; balance sheet reports; trading activity reports; cash management analysis; purchasing control procedures, prepare monthly summaries of debtors and creditors ledger transactions and reconciliations
Applying knowledge of advanced functions of computer software packages and managing data
Training staff classified at lower levels by means of personal instruction and demonstration

Mandatory Requirements
