Toowoomba based not for profit have an opportunity for a Finance Officer.
At St Stephens Meals on Wheels, we are seeking a Senior Finance Officer who will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of the business. You will report directly to the General Manager and be a point of reference for a dynamic team.
If you have experience in the following then this could be the role for you:
Processing financial operations such as accounts payable, receivable, client billing, and financial accounting.Debtors' management, debt recovery processes and banking arrangements.Prepare and monitor the annual budget with variance analysis.General administration skills, including excellent phone and email etiquette.Ensuring compliance with GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, and all statutory requirements.Supporting strategic decisions with detailed financial reporting and analysis.Manage external audits and maintain accurate reconciliations.Optimize IT programs and implement process efficiencies for data accuracy and internal controls.A Certificate IV or above in accounting / business.Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire team.Strong knowledge of ERP systems and a track record of implementing system improvements.Exceptional analytical and interpersonal communication skills.Strong time management, communication and organisational skills.Experience in a finance role within a Not For Profit, Health Care or Aged Care organisation an advantage.A reliable and trustworthy TEAM player.Eligibility to work in Australia.National Police Clearance / NDIS worker screening.Proof of Covid -19 Vaccination.Our culture is all about working collaboratively as a team, embracing our friendly environment and empowering each other to achieve our professional and personal goals.
