Finance Officer

As a key member of the team responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of financial operations you will be responsible for a variety of work.
About the job Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to become a key member of their team for a 6 month contract, working 2 days per week from home (once you understand the role) with the other 3 days per week in the office in the Brisbane CBD.

The role As a key member of the team responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of financial operations your keyaccountabilties will be: Prepare and submit data uploads to ensure timely and effective invoicing to customers. Provide informative, timely and quality advice to customers including invoices and customer accounts. Assist with the preparation of reports, submissions, briefs and correspondence. Assist with financial monitoring services to ensure accuracy and timeliness in preparing financial reporting and reconciliations. Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support financial management initiatives. Contribute to the review, development and implementation of financial practices and procedures to ensure they meet departmental and service delivery requirements. Assist with financial helpdesk support and advice to frontline officers and staff to resolve issues. The Skills and experience required Experience using applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Relevant experience as a Finance Officer that has included experience with invoicing, customer queries and reporting. Knowledge and understanding of financial management practices and processes. Strong attention to detail. Ability to stay focused on high-volume repetitive tasks. Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment. Preferably some experience with SAP ECC for payment management and reporting, although not mandatory. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
