St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School – Port Hedland WAFounded by the Presentation Sisters of Northampton in 1942, St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School is a single stream, co-educational Catholic School situated in Port Hedland, overlooking the Indian Ocean, with an enrolment of approximately 200 students. St Cecilia's boasts a strong school community which strives to provide a secure environment for the spiritual, moral, social, emotional and intellectual development of each student.Qualifications & experienceA relevant qualification in Accounting, Business or a related field would be an advantage, but not essential.Knowledge of AoS (Administration of Schools), Microsoft 365 and experience in a school environment would be an advantage, but not essential.Experience in the use of cloud-based accounting system/s.Extensive experience and sound knowledge of accrual accounting practices.A high level of organisational, time management and communication skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.A strong focus to deal with parents, staff and members of the public.The ability to demonstrate initiative and exercise discretion, confidentiality and maintain a professional manner.Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos.Tasks & responsibilitiesPreparation and maintenance of the school's financial records.Completion of financial compliance requirements.Preparation of financial reports for the Principal, Parents and Friends Association and School Advisory Council.Processing of all financial transactions including accounts receivable and payable.Processing of all family fee invoices and monitoring payments.Administration of all Payroll Duties.Overseeing the trading operations of the school.
