Our ClientOur client is a privately owned investment company, with a diverse portfolio of assets. With existing operations down the East Coast, and new investment growth, our client has recently opened a new head office in Brisbane.Role PurposeOur client is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join the growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will be confident supporting a busy finance team, with proven experience managing end to end payables and receivables processes, and an eagerness to learn payroll, and grow to take on additional accounting responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd to end accounts payable, including processing of invoices, statement reconciliations and weekly payment processing;Accounts receivable including daily bank reconciliations and managing debtor relationships;Manage a small but growing weekly payroll of about 100 employees;Provide analysis, reporting and process improvement recommendations;Collaborate with other departments to ensure processes and procedures are streamlined and efficient;Support end of month and other functions such as related general ledger reconciliations, BAS and tax.Key Requirements2 - 4 years' demonstrated experience in end to end payables and receivables;Willingness to learn payroll;Proven experience working in a high volume and fast paced environment;Excellent data entry skills including speed and accuracy;Excellent numeracy skills and an eye for detail;Strong communication (both written and verbal);A committed and loyal person, who is looking for long-term stability;Intermediate excel skills and experience with various accounting software;Ability to work independently and ask for support when required.Culture & FitThe Finance Officer role is suited to a candidate with an inquisitive and versatile nature, who is eager to take ownership of the role and contribute to the business' success. Our client understands that people are their greatest asset, so they strive to retain, develop and reward passionate and success-orientated professionals at all levels.Employees will work a 38 hour week, with flexibility to start and finish between 8am – 6pm. The Milton head office is conveniently located within a short five minute walk of the train station and close to other public transport options.
