FINANCE OFFICER | MELBOURNE CBDClassification: VPS4Contract: 4 months (ASAP start)Pay: $60.16/hour + superLocation: CBD, MelbourneWork Model: 3 days office, 2 days WFHRole Overview:Join the team as a Finance Officer managing financial assistance payments and contributing to budget management within a state government environment.Key Responsibilities:• Coordinate, review, and approve financial assistance payments up to $25,000• Conduct quality assurance checks on payment details• Manage payment schedules and queries• Monitor trends, issues, and risks, providing analysis for process improvements• Contribute to operational budgets, performance reports, and annual reporting• Foster relationships with organisation teams regarding financial management• Enhance Aboriginal cultural safety and victim-centered practicesRequirements:• Experience in finance and budget management, preferably in state government• Knowledge of government accounting and financial legislation• Ability to create reports and analyse data• Proficiency with PowerBI or similar data visualisation software• Experience with Oracle Financial System and Axiom (desirable)• Commitment to cultural safety and trauma-informed practiceDesired Qualities:• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent stakeholder management abilities• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy• Adaptability to changing environmentsAdditional Information:• Role involves supporting victims of crime and service providers• Opportunity to contribute to process enhancements and decision-makingTo apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter highlighting your relevant finance and budget management experience, particularly in state government or similar environments.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
