We are seeking a candidate who can play a pivotal role in the Fraud Investigations Branch in a Federal Government Agency on the Gold Coast. As part of the Scheme Debt Team, you will be responsible for the management and recovery of Scheme Debt to ensure compliance with legislation and finance law relating to the collection, reporting, monitoring, and acquitting of Scheme debts. Candidates MUST be an Australian citizen to work within the Federal Government.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Assisting with the scheme debt register, including system cancelled debts and unrecovered debts. Assisting with debt recovery processes in line with the Scheme Debt Management Policy, including liaising with other business areas, Providers, and Participants in relation to payment arrangements, debt write-offs, and waivers. Preparing invoices, including payment request cancellation as required. Provide input into the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the team, including process mapping requirements. Extracting and analysing data from SAP/PSCD and other data systems for management reporting. Assisting with queries regarding pending SAP/PSCD payments and bank account issues. Supporting project initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders within the team and across the Agency. Key skills/experience required:
Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability, high level understanding and knowledge of disability, and its impact on individuals. Debt recovery experience is highly desirable. Accounts experience, particularly accounts receivable. Database administration and analysis. Confident with Excel, experience working with spreadsheets. Attention to detail. Ability to comply with all legislative and policy requirements. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
