About the roleWe are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Officer to join our team at Murray Irrigation in Deniliquin, NSW.
This full-time position is integral to the smooth running of our finance department, providing support across a range of finance and accounting tasks.
What you'll be doing Process daily bank transactionsWeekly bank balance reportingReconcile end of month bank transactionsAccounts Receivable – invoicing customers, monthly statements, processing customer paymentsComplete the Water Exchange Seller Payment run each week and process paymentsAssist with Accounts Payable – processing of purchase orders in accordance with budgets and delegations, reconciling creditor accounts for payment, creditor batch payments, EOM processing, creditor maintenance, credit card processing, ensuring all creditor request for payments are adhering to our policies and proceduresParticipate in initiatives aimed at improving finance processes and efficienciesAssist with managing Finance Customer Information Recording & Action System casesProvide backup support to the finance team as requiredWhat we're looking for A qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Management (preferred but not essential)Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in AP or AR and administrative supportHas previous experience with Pronto or other accounting softwareAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHas strong PC skills across the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)High accuracy and speed in data entry with strong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsHas solid knowledge across general accounting principlesEnthusiasm to learn new skills and be challenged by professional development opportunitiesDemonstrate willingness to be flexible and undertake other duties and activities as requiredWhat we offerAt Murray Irrigation, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.

Salary Range$65,500 - $77,000
