Finance Officer

St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John NT) are dedicated to helping the people of Northern Territory in sickness, distress, suffering and danger. We provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government and deliver a range of first aid services including world class first aid training, first aid kits and medical services at events to enable public safety.
Role Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Officer is responsible for providing a high standard of financial administrative support by maintaining and completing the day-to-day Finance Officer functions to ensure effective and efficient operation of the finance accounting team function.
Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualifications majoring in accounting, finance, or a related field. Minimum 1-year experience as a Finance Officer or similar (Freshers are welcome to apply). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in an accounting firm. Demonstrated experience in the use of computerised accounting systems and Excel. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. High level of written and verbal communication skills. Industry certifications and practitioners' licenses (desirable). Employment with St John NT is subject to a criminal history check, a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
