Key Responsibilities and Requirements5+ years' experience in the Federal Government Financial area, expertise in financial reporting, month-end cycles, budget management, and accruals.Supporting Directors to manage internal BAU and Project Budgets, including providing status reports to executives.Supporting End of Month Financial Reporting activities, preparing monthly and ad-hoc reporting for directors and the executive team, and responding to internal requests for variance and other financial input.Excellent attention to detail.Improvement-focused, results-oriented, seeks to add value through improving processes and systems.Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment, building and maintaining relationships with a network of internal stakeholders including Project Managers, Financial Business Partners, Reporting functions, and Directors.Security ClearanceA BASELINE security clearance (minimum) is an essential requirement for all positions in the Department's IT Division. All individuals must already hold, or otherwise obtain, a BASELINE security clearance (minimum) before they can be employed or engaged by the Department and prior to the provision of any ICT access by the Department to an individual.Continuing employment or engagement by the Department is strictly contingent on maintaining a BASELINE security clearance (minimum).
