Bundaberg Sugar Ltd is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Cane Pay & Accounts Payable Supervisor, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of work including processing Cane Pay and Accounts Payable tasks and various administrative functions as part of a dynamic team.
ROLE DESCRIPTION The role will involve administration, finance, and accounting tasks across Accounts Payable and Cane Pay functions.
Some responsibilities of the role will include:
Working within various accounting systems including Syspro and OracleWorking within IMS (Oracle based) to record Cane PaysAccurate interpretation and processing of dataLiaising with suppliers and department managers in relation to invoicesMaintenance and filing of computerized recordsLiaising with Finance Companies in relation to vehicle financeGeneral administration duties within the Business Services sectorPREFERRED SKILLS We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive person who is a team player and will fit in with our friendly department culture. The successful applicant will have an eye for detail, be keen to learn, and possess the following:
Basic knowledge of accounting fundamentalsAbility to multi-task and adapt to challengesAnalytical mindset with good problem-solving skillsAbility to plan, organise, and work to deadlinesAbility to work independently and have good interpersonal skillsInterest in working in a finance and accounting environmentExperience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat DC, and the other programs mentioned above would be advantageous. Ongoing on-the-job training is a feature of this role.
