Join the City of Bunbury as our Finance Officer and help maintain the financial integrity of our local government services.
You will play a crucial role in supporting financial reporting and resolving financial transaction enquiries, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving organisational efficiency through accurate financial management.
What you'll do: Process accounts payable invoices, credit card transactions, and utility accounts.Handle payments for refunds, reimbursements, allowances, and manage petty cash.Maintain and reconcile bond registers, stock issues, and prepare stocktake reconciliations.Manage transactions related to the Bunbury Visitor Centre and Southwest Sports Centre.Maintain accurate record-keeping and provide relief for Finance Officers as necessary.Resolve queries and provide support and advice to staff.What you'll bring: Demonstrated previous relevant experience in an intermediate accounting position, including accounts payable and receivable.Sound numeracy and verbal/written communication skills.Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.Why work with us?
