We are looking for a savvy Finance Officer to provide efficient and effective financial services support to SDN Children's Services and its controlled entities.
This is a permanent full-time position in our state-of-the-art new office located in Glebe, opposite Broadway Shopping Centre. About the Role Working knowledge of grant acquittals, accounting, and budgeting. Support the AP Officer (potential backup for the AP process) and assist with setup and maintenance of supplier master, high volume payment processing, staff reimbursements, fundraising payments, bond/fee refund. Assist with end of month reporting including accruals, prepayments. Working knowledge of GST including BAS preparation and lodgement. Assist in general ledger reconciliations to maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts. Bank reconciliations. Ownership of Promaster Credit Card and expense management system. Providing audit support. Learn new systems and improve on existing business systems. Perform any other duties as requested by your manager consistent with the position. About You Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience, especially in grant accounting; working towards a professional accounting degree (CA/CPA). Proficiency in financial systems and software. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines. Proven data analysis skills and experience with reconciliation and budgeting processes. Experience with continuous improvement of business processes. Proven track record of accuracy in financial tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
