About the role: This role within the Retail Strategy & Finance team is responsible for managing the operational and financial performance of the Solar and Broadband business unit.
You will oversee financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
Leading a team of two, you'll coach and develop staff while balancing stakeholder needs and ensuring strong financial control and governance.
Review and presentation of timely, accurate and reliable financial reporting into business performance for the solar and broadband business units. Presentation of key financial and operational reports to stakeholders, including presentation of weekly Steering Committee documents and monthly BPR; with documentation advising how the company and future business decisions might be impacted. Providing comprehensive analysis to support decision making including recommending solutions for problems or situations. Preparation of the annual solar and broadband budgets and quarterly forecast processes. Identify, recommend, & support the implementation of system enhancements and ensuring adherence to accounting processes and policies. Lead two staff with a focus on development through coaching. Continuous improvement of processes and results, with a key focus on automation and the use and development of reporting tools. Working closely with the Solar & Energy Solutions Commercial team; support the strategy development and analysis efforts of new opportunities and the commercialisation of existing development assets in Origin's portfolio. Prepare presentations and written materials to communicate outputs from financial and commercial analysis. What will you bring? You are a CA/CPA qualified professional with demonstrated experience in a business partnering role. Furthermore, you will demonstrate:
Expert analytical skills with experience in data analysis. Demonstrated experience leading, motivating and developing a team. Sound technical accounting knowledge with the ability to question and interpret results and seek answers that appropriately justify the results. Proactive in identifying problems and independently finding solutions. Good understanding of key controls with a focus on identifying and establishing controls in day-to-day activities.
