We strive to create an environment where every team member feels like they are part of a supportive and inclusive family.We are proud to be one of the largest Aboriginal Corporations in Australia with our head office located in Tom Price and the corporate office situated in the Perth CBD.THE OPPORTUNITY:The Finance Manager provides financial leadership and accounting strategies that support the finance and accounting functions of Gumala Aboriginal Corporation. This is a key strategic and operational leadership position providing hands-on management of the finance team.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage and coordinate GAC's daily accounting operations, end of month processes and annual reporting.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory law and ATO/financial regulations.Maintain a register of fixed assets and related insurance, as well as Workers Compensation insurance.Provide high-level financial reports, budgets and financial projections.Provide training and development for team members.Extract and interpret financial data and information using analytical techniques through the application of appropriate software.This position is based in East Perth with occasional travel to the Pilbara and is available in the new year for an initial 12-month term.ABOUT YOU:At least 3-5 years' post-CA-CPA qualification experience.Prior experience managing a small team, preparing and analysing reports.Experience in improving fiscal tools and systems.Strong understanding of accounting and finance statutory requirements and compliance framework.Demonstrated knowledge and use of accounting and payroll software including NetSuite, Excel, Word and Outlook.WHAT WE OFFER:Competitive salary package including the opportunity to salary sacrifice.Flexible working arrangements.Access to Employee Assistance Programme.40-hour work week in return for 6 weeks on Annual leave.Annual shutdown.Opportunities to grow your career including professional development assistance.Friendly team.Active Social Club and regular events.At GAC, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture of belonging, respect, and growth.
