The Position:As a key member of our Management Team, the Finance Manager is accountable to the Director People & Governance to ensure Council's financial sustainability and compliance with statutory obligations.
Functions of the department include rates and revenue, accounts payable, procurement and tenders, preparation of annual budgets, and implementation and monitoring of Council's 10-year financial plan.
This role will give you the opportunity to lead the implementation of our financial technology transformation project and lead others on this journey.
About You:To be successful in this pivotal leadership position, you will be tertiary qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline and hold your ACA or CPA membership.
Your extensive experience in financial systems and development and implementation of long-term financial strategies will ensure a smooth transition into this crucial role.
You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable working across our organisation to engage staff and leaders on all financial matters.
