The team are now looking for a Finance Manager. This full-time role reports directly to the MD and is based at the Loganholme office with travel to the Warwick Head Office a couple of times a month.
The Finance Manager will manage the financial health of the company to promote success and growth while maintaining sound financial practices. They will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Core components of the role include: Strategic Planning: Work with the MD and Senior Leadership Team to develop financial strategies that minimise risk and identify growth opportunities.Financial Planning and Financial Management: Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition.Operational Efficiency: Improve financial efficiency by identifying cost-saving opportunities and enhancing profitability.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Risk Management and Internal Controls: Identify, evaluate and manage financial risks, including investment and operational risks. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teams in the business to develop financial strategies and support business objectives.People Leadership: Lead, coach, mentor and develop the Finance team member ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial activities. Educate and coach the wider team as opportunities present.The skills you'll need: 3+ years in a similar role (construction/projects industry desirable)Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresProficiency in accounting standardsStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skillsClose attention to detail with ability to ask insightful questionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPeople leadership experience preferred with eagerness to mentor and coach othersStrong Excel skills with proficiency in financial software and tools (a working knowledge of MYOB Acumatica highly regarded)Unrestricted working rights for AustraliaWhy choose us?
