We're an agile, fast-growing & successful privately owned business that's currently leading the charge in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure in the energy industry across Australia and New Zealand.
Our engineers are currently engaged with more than twenty greenfield and brownfield projects across the Pacific.
From consulting and design for computer networks, back-up solutions, business-grade internet connectivity, cybersecurity measures and remote assistance and support, our team of experts provide the tools and support needed to keep businesses moving towards a safer and more sustainable future through technology.
On the back of our recent operating success, and with our staff force growing by 30% in the last 12 months, we're looking to expand our finance team.
So, what is the role exactly? We're looking for Finance Done Well.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of OpusV.
You will work closely with senior management, be the right hand to the Senior Finance Manager in providing financial guidance to the organisation.
That makes sense, but what would my day to day look like? The finance team manage all aspects of the company's financial operations.
Each day would involve:
Manage finance resources responsible for payroll, AP, credit card allocations, AR, invoicing and Bank reconciliationsManage payroll in accordance with Australian laws and regulationsManage accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliersManage the accurate and timely allocation of credit cardsManage AR and build relationship with our clients' finance teamsWorking with sales team to ensure timely closure of open Sales orders and timely invoicing of subscriptions / agreementsWeekly cash flow forecastingEnsure accurate revenue recognition of projectsInterco (AU/NZ) reconciliationsPrepare monthly balance sheet recsPreparation of monthly P&L/cashflow forecastPrepare and present monthly financial reporting actual vs budget / forecast / PYMaintain accurate reporting of inventory levels and oversee stocktakeResponsible for preparation and lodgement of all taxation and reporting for statutory purposesDevelop improvements on accounting systemsEnsure that all necessary policies and procedures to safeguard assets and minimise financial and commercial risk are in placeThe nature of having a flat organisational structure means you'll also get exposure and experience across a range of other finance (and quasi finance) functions - interacting deeply with cross functional teams to deliver business outcomes.

Who are we looking for? To excel in this role, you'll need:
a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;a CPA, CA or CMA certification or equivalent is highly preferred;at least 4-6 years of experience in Australian financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis;a self-starter with proven experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, as well as internal controls;strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights;strong relational skills to influence process improvements and drive change where required.What's in it for me?
