Our established finance function is now looking to enhance its capabilities with a seasoned Senior Financial Controller.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Finance Manager with a strong background in financial reporting and budgeting to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and with 2 direct reports, this role is critical in supporting our company's scaling efforts through sophisticated financial management, strategic insights, and robust reporting systems. The successful candidate will ensure financial practices and projections align with company goals and will facilitate informed decision-making across departments.
Working Location This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on-site in our Melbourne Head Office.
Key Responsibilities: Manage overall day to day finance function within Triskele Labs including responsibility for customer invoicing, supplier payments, employee expenses and payroll. Lead and refine the monthly (including referred revenue, provisions and GL recs etc.), quarterly, and annual reporting processes, ensuring they meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Enhance financial reporting frameworks to support detailed analysis and insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities. Collaborate with the CFO to develop financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial functions including but not limited to general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and various other financial activities. Streamline and automate financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in a scaling environment. Conduct detailed variance analysis and prepare comprehensive reports to explain deviations from budget and their implications. Cashflow management and forecasting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent highly preferred. At least 8-10 years of progressive financial experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a financial control or senior management role. Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and budget management within a fast-growing organisation. Proficient in using advanced financial management software and tools suitable for a scaling enterprise. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex financial information in an understandable manner. Prior experience in the technology or cybersecurity sector is a plus.
