Proven Energy is a Toowoomba based renewable energy company that is taking off!
We are an innovative renewable energy company based in Toowoomba, specialising in solar panel installations, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging solutions. We'd describe our business as a retail-facing construction style company with electricians, apprentices, sales team and admin making up our team of 20+.

We're at an exciting stage of growth and are seeking aFinance Manager who will take full ownership of our financial operations and help guide the leadership team through our expansion plans. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to shape and lead our finance function from the ground up.
About the Role: As theFinance Manager, you will report directly to the Director and play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the financial operations of Proven Energy. You will manage all aspects of our financial operations, from handling day-to-day transactions to providing strategic insights that will support our expansion plans. This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy, perfect for someone looking to make a real impact in the renewable energy sector and make the role their own.
You'll collaborate closely with our operations, sales, and admin teams to align budgets, forecasting, and financial strategies with business goals. This role offers you the chance to drive improvements and automation, oversee project budgets, and support key decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Take full ownership of all financial processes, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general financial management and reconciliation.Prepare and analyse financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance and providing improvement recommendations.Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for the business.Liaise with external parties as required to ensure smooth end of financial year processes and accurate reporting.Preparation and payment of the monthly BAS submissions.Provide financial insights and reporting to senior management to support financial decision-making.Oversee financial risk assessments and recommend process improvements.Support the company's expansion plans by delivering strategic financial advice.A full review/audit of our current financial operations and processes.About You: We are looking for a capable and experiencedFinance Manager who is ready to make this role their own. Key qualities we're looking for include:
5+ years experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a dynamic or growing business.Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.Experience in payroll management, accounts payable, and budget tracking.Advanced skills in Xero and Excel.A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or CPA preferred but not essential).Why Join Proven Energy?
