Our client is looking for an interim Finance Manager (head of finance) to join their growing business. The role is an end-to-end role in a small engineering business, so you will need to be a hands-on finance manager. You will be someone who can work in a constantly shifting business with significant change, and you'll be doing most tasks yourself. The role is based in Penrith, and you will be expected to be on-site 5 days a week.The responsibilitiesAs the head of finance for this business, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:All month-end and year-end activities - you will be posting journal entries yourself.Prepare and present key reports to management including profitability and productivity metrics, WIP, project reports, etc.Prepare and present Budget and Forecast vs Actual.Prepare or review all payroll-related activities.Manage accounts receivable and payable staff and all duties.Prepare BAS, FBT, payroll tax, and workers comp and all other tax/legal requirements.Deal directly with customers and suppliers when required.Oversee and review all weekly payments.Own all finance-related systems, processes, and policies.Liaise with the auditors.Prepare stat accounts.The successful applicant will have:Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.CA or CPA qualified.Degree in Accounting/Business.Previously worked in a small to medium size business - ideally in the engineering/industrial space.Ideally an advanced user of MYOB and Simpro.Strong technical accounting knowledge.Strong communicator.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Strong in using systems.They are looking for an immediate start.
