As genuine business partners to key stakeholders, the team supports short, medium and long term decisions and processes. They also provide structure and organisation to the business as well as value-adding, timely and high-quality decision-support information to all levels of the organisation.
About the RoleA key member of the Finance and Operations leadership team, the role is critical to the ongoing success of the business. A strong Commercial and technical finance leader is required to business partner and challenge the Leadership team (including the Managing Director and Finance Director) as well as develop a high performing team that will generate best practice for the Group. This role provides financial thought leadership, processes and structure across the business using the principles of continuous improvement and a relentless desire to make the business better.
This high impact and challenging role provides commercial finance support, statutory and management reporting and financial governance to all business functions. Working daily with the Finance Director, Managing Director and Leadership Team, this key role will help secure the future of Dyson in Australia & New Zealand. Building and leveraging great relationships globally across the Dyson world to enable creation and sharing of "best in class" work is also core to the role.
Main ResponsibilitiesOwn and lead the Management and Statutory reporting process and delivery for internal and external stakeholders.Produce accurate, complete, timely and clear reporting and analysis that is essential to agile decision making in the business for both Finance and non-finance stakeholders.Lead local technical accounting implementation, interpretation and compliance. Support continuous improvement of Group accounting policies.Full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting, controls and analysis.Drive commercial and business performance culture through appropriate development, measurement and reporting of cross functional key performance indicators.Provide finance thought leadership and decision-support across the organisation.Create strong working relationships both cross functionally and at all levels of the organisation.Challenge current methods of working to drive efficiencies and increased profitability wherever possible.Lead the review and challenge of efficient overhead investment and lead by example for own cost centres.Champion the Dyson finance strategy core pillars of integrity and commercial success throughout the ANZ business.Deliver an appropriate risk management and internal control environment.Direct responsibility for Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay processes and effective cash management within them; including owning local debtor insurance and banking relationships.Financial ownership of Inventory management and reporting.Support to Group Tax and Treasury function and ownership of local Tax compliance and reporting.Assess existing and develop new finance processes to ensure an efficient, effective and scalable finance organisation.Lead key functional and cross functional high impact projects, both within ANZ and across the Group.Influence all levels of the organisation through impactful communications, passion, business partnering and collaboration.Lead and motivate a high performing team to ensure that they are developed and challenged in their roles and maximise their potential.Coach, develop and lead direct reports in all areas of people management activity.Minimum RequirementsExtensive commercial finance, financial accounting & reporting and Internal control experience across full P&L, Balance Sheet and cash management.Some consumer goods or retail industry experience is required.Management and development of a high performing team.High level of technical accounting skills; up to date with IFRS (experience of UK GAAP beneficial but not a requirement).Outstanding at reporting financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.Methodical business planning capability.Dyson is an equal opportunity employer.
