In this key leadership role, you will lead and support the Financial Accounting team at GOTAFE, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial outcomes for the organization. You will oversee accounts payable and receivable services, provide insightful analysis and advice to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. Your expertise will drive the effectiveness and efficiency of financial activities and reporting, contributing significantly to the organization's performance.
As the successful candidate you will have: A degree in Accounting or a related field, with significant experience in a senior financial or accounting role; CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is required.Demonstrated substantial experience in leading the development and delivery of quality financial accounting in a large organization.Thorough understanding of modern accounting practices, including a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management.Proven leadership abilities to motivate, develop, and mentor individuals while fostering a climate of trust and teamwork.Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Technology One Finance System or similar, alongside advanced skills in MS Office applications.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, negotiate, and resolve problems while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.Requirements: A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)A current Driver's Licence (Car).The salary range for this position is $108,038-$117,689 under the GOTAFE Enterprise PACCT Agreement 2023.
