Our Client
Our client is a well established healthcare provider with exciting growth plans for 2025. They provide Aged Care, retirement living and community care services to a significant number of people and do it with passion, commitment, and one on one centred care. A restructure has led to the need for a Team Leader Financial Accounting to join their head office team based at Mt Gravatt.

About the Role
Do you have strong technical accounting and reporting skills and enjoy mentoring and leading?

This role reports to the Head of Finance and will be their right hand person, supporting them with business as usual accounting and reporting as well as supporting them to improve compliance and drive automation and process improvements.

Some key tasks will focus on you being able to – Lead, mentor, and inspire the Financial Accounting team to reach their full potential;Foster a culture of innovation, engagement, and teamwork;Own the End of Month (EOM) and End of Year (EOY) financial reporting processes;Oversee external audits, taxation, and regulatory compliance—accuracy is key!Ensure sound management of assets and liabilities, with oversight of the Fixed Asset Registers;Ensuring General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations up to date and in line with AASB standards;Ensure 100% compliance with internal controls, policies, and legislative requirements;Continuously improve financial processes, driving efficiency and growth;Other ad hoc tasks and projects as directed by the Head of Finance. About You
You are a qualified CA/CPA with demonstrated strengths in financial accounting, statutory reporting and being able to research, interpret and be the "go to" person for all technical accounting issues. You also enjoy mentoring and developing teams and building capability, imparting your knowledge and building a positive, collaborative work environment.

Your have good ability to interpret and financial data and communicate clearly to both accounting and operations teams. Prior experience in working in a regulated environment is advantageous. Above all, you are a strategic thinker dedicated to driving results and enjoy continuous improvement.
