Exciting Role- Temporary, Full-time, Bowen Hills | Improve the roster to pay process and deliver positive outcomes to support enhanced workforce management, driving the delivery of tangible benefits for both Hospital and Health Services (HHS) and the Department of Health through improved tools, processes, and access to real-time information where and when it is required.
The role
This role is responsible for providing expert financial management support and advice to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the IWFM Project. Key responsibilities include processing and monitoring financial transactions, preparing reports, and completing month-end tasks in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation rules, and Queensland Health policies. The position also involves developing and reviewing procedures, maintaining high standards of internal controls, and delivering accurate budgeting and forecasting of project expenditure. By utilising finance systems such as SAP FAMMIS and DSS Neto, the role ensures timely and informed decision-making for the Project Business Manager and Project Director.
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of contemporary accounting standards, financial management policies, and the ability to extract and interpret data from financial systems. Strong analytical and technical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to managing priorities are essential to this role. Reporting to the Principal Project Accountant, the position requires the ability to work autonomously while fostering positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. A relevant qualification and/or a minimum of two years' experience is highly desirable, with flexibility to support evolving business needs and legislative requirements.
